NDIS price guide 2026-27: what changed on 1 July

The 2026-27 NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits (PAPL 2026-27 v1.0) took effect on 1 July 2026. Core support worker rates rose about 4.8% (weekday daytime is now $73.58 an hour), household tasks rose about 3.6%, respite claiming was rebuilt from bundled day rates into hourly codes, and per-state pricing was replaced by a single national limit.

The big one: respite (STA) was unbundled
Until 30 June 2026, a respite stay was claimed under one bundled per-day code that rolled support, accommodation and food into a single figure at a set staffing ratio, from roughly $872 a day (1:3 weekday) up to $4,270 a day (1:1 public holiday). Those codes, 01_051_0115_1_1 through 01_062_0115_1_1, are now legacy items with an end date of 30 June 2027.
From 1 July 2026, an STA stay is claimed in parts:

Hourly STA support follows the same day and time splits as personal care, with a high intensity set at higher caps. If you have service agreements written against the old bundled codes, they keep working through the transition year, but new agreements should be written against the unbundled codes now.
Per-state pricing is gone
Earlier catalogues listed a price column for every state and territory, with identical figures in each. The 2026-27 catalogue drops the pretence: one national limit per item, plus the remote (MMM 6) and very remote (MMM 7) loadings, which remain.
What to actually do about it
- Invoices for supports delivered from 1 July 2026 can use the new caps. Supports delivered earlier stay on 2025-26 rates.
- If your agreed rate was at the old cap, it does not rise automatically. Raising it means updating the service agreement with the participant or plan manager.
- Check any template or app you invoice from is actually on 2026-27 v1.0. Stale line items are one of the most common rejection causes; see why NDIS invoices get rejected.
- Respite providers and workers: plan the move off the bundled codes well before 30 June 2027.
